Sir Winston Churchill is lauded as the Icon of the War, incredible speeches and his troops defeated Germans single handedly at Battle of Britain. My fave Churchill quote... I hope you don't think for one minute that the USofA made all the difference. The only difference that Britain and the USofA made was that the Iron Curtain came down where it did instead of on the English Channel Coast. the USSR had Germany beaten without a British or American soldier in France. Also don't forget that it was Hitler who declared war on the US and if he hadn't they would have stayed out of it and gone off to defeat the Japs - who never had a chance anyway.
