It's cool that they are making a Max Payne movie, but don't you guys think it's weird that they are filming in Toronto instead of New York City?

Looks like it's cheaper to make in Toronto than NY. And this is not a problem, lots of movies are filmed like this.

No . you know how many movies were Filmed in toronto ? The Hulk for some Parts. Resident Evil Apocolypse. idk what else . lol . but theres quite a few

Yeah, but that's not the weird part. I felt that it was weird because the setting of the Max Payne story is New York City. I would've thought that it would be more expensive to shoot it in Toronto, and make Toronto look like New York rather than just filming it in New York city where the setting and the location fits together. Is Max Payne going to be a low budget film? I saw the trailers and it looks like they won't be using bulletime.
