Um because Jimmy Carter the most brilliant president decided to make all trucks to have a certain gas mileage, Bad for Scout - it only was making a V8 in 1980. OK one question, why do all of the Jeep guys that I know trade out their axles for scout axles? Why have I pulled out 2 Jeep out of the snow last year in Denver? Granted they are the first, but come on dude, you drive one, You have one...They need to work on the idea a bit...
