hey crocodile237, bengal tigers arent MUCH smaller. they average 9-12ft long, siberians average 10-13ft long. bengals average 440-500lbs, n siberians around 507lbs+. siberians are only a few cm taller too. plus, certain bengals in places in india have been recorded wieghing an average of 520lbs. although this needs to be stated by a more reliable source.

I like sibearian tigers but not the much smaller bengal tigers.

10 ft 500 pounds is not small

Actually ligers are slower and bigger.... which can mean less endurance and speed.... If they fought it would be a battle thats for sure... but never count out a Bengal tiger ... there vicious fighters..

Are ligers only bread from Bengals and lions? Anyone know if they are bread from Siberians and lions? I think they should genetically engineer a cat big enough to bring down a full grown elephant. Now, that would be one kick-ass cat...too bad tigers don't live in prides...would ligers?

Good question..... I'm not sure exactly what breed they use... obviously using a Siberian Tiger would make them even bigger you would think..... as far as I know they use a lion and a tiger.... but not sure of the breed of tiger

Ligers are also shorter lived. Very much like the large dog breeds (Great Danes in particular), their hearts are not built to satisfy and cope with the circulatory needs of such a large animal.

i love all cats espeshaly big cats! but i rally like tigers!
