Description :	TURTLE TRAX at: www.turtles.org On August 20, 2007 we discovered a Hawaiian green turtle (honu) with fishing line and a gallon jug float tangled in her left front flipper. Considering that just a few days earlier we'd sighted a large tiger shark in the area, we did not want this turtle spending the night impaired in this way. Not to mention, we've known this turtle since 2000.

Who died? As far as we know this turtle is still healthy. We saw her again in January.

what was the hesatation about? cut the line and in corosive saltwater the hook will rust out.
