Yes the a-7 was much more feared. You could fit your entire body in that intake with room to spare.

Yup. The A-7 and the A-6 were the two most dangerous on the deck. Because both have large intakes very close to the front of the aircrafts front gear assembly. Although F-14s had HUGE intakes (big enough a 6ft 220lbs man could make a home in) they were much further back and under the aircraft so they werent as much a danger.
