Good grief - a blast from my past! Was reminded of this wonderful show earlier tonight, when I was watching "NCIS" and Ben Murphy turned up. Wonder how old he is now?
|
On the IMDB it says that he was born on the 6th March, 1942 which makes him 66 years of age. How time flies ;)

Thanks ashbyjay! It was "NCIS" Season 1, so I'm guessing he was 60-ish. Like you say, "Doesn't time fly ..." etc. Wonder what Pete would look like now - anyone got a photo of his Dad?? (smile)

There are some photographs of Peter's mum and dad in 'Pete Duel - A Biography' by Paul Green. He looks like a very nice man, a sort of 'Father Knows Best' type. I think Peter looks like both parents, perhaps favouring his mum more than his dad. They must have been utterly devastated when he died as it seems that they were a very close family.

Legends. I was never allowed to stay up after 8pm during school terms, and it used to start at 8.10 in the UK circa 1972/3. Then when I went to junior school, all of a sudden my mom let me stay up to watch it whenever it was on. We used to argue in the playground who was going to be Heyes and who was going to be The Kid during our games of cowboys. Superb stuff!

I used to LOVE this show - even after I saw a rerun episode in the 90s called (I think) "The Posse That Wouldn't Quit" which was clearly lifted straight out of Butch Cassidy & The Sunshine Kid!
|
And interestingly, the makers of 'The Sting' which was a sort of follow up film with Redford/Newman, lifted the con trick known as The Big Store out of the Alias Smith & Jones episode 'The Great Shell Game', so I suppose this made them even ;)

Yes, he did. Then he came back in season three of AS&J in 'The Long Chase' as Sheriff Tankersley. Really enjoyed James Drury as Tankersley.

Good grief - "The Virginian" - another blast from my past!
