Description :	REVIEW OF THE CONCERT: Celine Dion was in town last night and something that never happened in Washington happened. The Tacoma Dome exit on interstate 5 became the most dreadful path to be on, as traffic lights, police protective barricades and construction blocks slowed down concertgoers to hours of wait. As a result, some had arrived late but didnt really mind for it was all worth it. In this concert, you would not find scalpers selling you tickets outside the dome for every ticket available was valuable and sold out. Everyone came in with a ticket and everyone filled those seats, however expensive or not so expensive. There was no need either, for fliers, or for mementos at the door. People came to see Celine and hear her in person. If they wanted souvenir music, they would go to the store. Celine opened her show with the upbeat sound of Cyndi Lauper's "I Drove All Night", and the dim lit full packed arena exploded with applause and everyone stomped and danced in sheer gaiety and fun. It was the most incredible feeling I ever felt going to a concert. Ive been to this place before but Ive never seen it this packed. And I dont know how people could keep an ambience where you could practically hear a pin drop when Celine would be talking or start to sing without the band. People seemed either awed more by her presence or the anticipation was killing them, or both. Celines total performance was spectacular and electrifying. It moved people to tears when she sang her greatest hits. Some people watched the whole show standing in total adoration. And the dome roared as she began singing her new songs. The stage was set up in the middle of the arena. There were humongous screens above the four sides of the stage and more viewing screens on the sides of the bleachers. Even the base of the stage had viewing screens for front seats most convenient viewing, especially those at the back of the stage. No one would ever miss a sight of Celine. The latest trends in technology were used and in the most brilliant fashion, providing the most satisfactory concert experience. The sound was superb. But Celine would be all over the stage facing all sides and she would be covered in 3-dimensional cameras so much that even just watching the screen is very satisfying. Oh, no voice has ever soared in that dome much higher and bigger than Celines magnificent voice. She is awesome. After all, she is indeed the DIVA. And Ive not even talked about yet, which I dont think is really necessary anymore now but maybe later, her outfits and how beautiful and fit she looked. Well, I got some videos and shots for you to see for yourself and Im happy to share them with you on youtube. Celine had it all made. She had a whole entourage of backup singers and dancers (acrobatic), an excellent band, a young special guest singer, and an imaginary (holographic) guest singer, Andrea Bocelli. She did not just sing her songs but she also covered some of the greatest concert songs of all time. She covered Heart, Eric Carmen, Queen and James Brown. And she performed encore songs. People would not leave their seats until after the second encore, My Heart Will Go On (Titanic). At 40, Celine Dion, the quintessential performer with the most powerful voice in the recording industry, and the best selling female artist of all time, has nobody else to beat but herself. And she is adored, worshipped, respected and loved in Washington. VIVA Celine! Merci beaucoup! It would be one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life, seeing only the first time the person I so most waited to see in live performance. I even got myself a floor seat for the surest thing of a most wonderful experience indeed. Well, as expected, I was hushed, electrified and awed. Then I partied and walked out of there in complete satisfaction. I should say with a high. A.W.
