lol, well im a pro video editor so I dont have any choice - I have to use mac, as the industry editing software is an apple application. Im glad I switched. They arnt as expensive as youd think....

Hmmm. I'm a pro musician and animator, so maybe I should make the swith too. I just can't afford it at the moment, maybe when I get some gigs under my belt. I hear that in the clay animation industry, you get all your jobs via word of mouth. I have a lot of friends in Hollywood :)

You definatly should make the switch. Just make sure your prefured programs work on apple or have an equivelant. with apple you would be able to use logic Pro which is the proper industry audio program... My jobs mainly come from word of mouth, although im just really starting. Im doing a big job over the next month or so for Heathrow Airport :-)

Oh man, it's been awhile since I started planning to switch to Mac. If I get one, is the Mac Mini any good? I'm thinking I'd have to trick someone into hitting me with their car to afford anything more expensive than that. For sound, I would use Garageband or Protools, and for animation, I'd use Frame Thief. I wish more than anything that I could use that program on a PC!

Mmm the higher end mac mini isnt too bad, I got a dual 2.7ghz powermac. You just have to hope that Macgod is on your side - I got my power mac brand new with warranty for £500! about a quater what its worth
