What do you get when you take Eye of the Beholder (Or any step movement, real time first person RPG) and juice it up with state of the art graphics and sound?
You get Anvil of Dawn.
Developed by Dreamforge, the Dungeon Hack/Ravenloft designers, this game is probably the most advanced of any of the old step movement RPGs...if not also one of the best.
What you don't see in this video is the exterior of the first castle, which looks amazingly good for a game of that era.
Though you don't get a party (You must adventure by yourself, like Ultima Underworld) you do get to choose from 5 starting characters who each have their own skills and statistical differences.

One of my favorite game!
Amazing atmosphere!
Strange, my version doesn't have voice acting. Just text.
Well yes, the presentation of this game is really good, especially the cd version - great graphics, good voice acting...
But the game had many flaws - very few RPG elements, spell effects only slow the game and most importantly the game is too long and empty - just battling 2 kinds of enemies in every area and putting weights on platforms...
Funny how she kills the same guy like 20 times =)
I just love this game. One of the best cRpg ever :)
the portrait for wehen your character is hit, she looks funny.
