Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes (Baby Doll turns!)

In continuation Samoa Joe in dusty's roll would've done a better job selling a leg injury after a figure four. Tripple H's paterned himself after flair and is just as talented. So basically we have the same scenario except both wrestlers can go instead of just one(flair). It would have the same huge cross brand atmosphere and the entire IWC would still bitch. If not for the internet, people would still think wrestling was great. The IWC just sabatoges itself and wrestling, endlessly.

Everybody posts how great "classic" wrestling was. I wouldn't watch wrestling if it was still like this. The production value is much higher today. Maney fantastic wrestlers populate the squared circle now, as did then. The big differece is the fans are spoiled. This match looks better because the audience is going crazy off the charts. Dusty Roads was never great in the wring. You could have Samo Joe and Tripple H work the same damn match and a million people would bitch.

These are the halcion days a feud with flair and rhodes guranteed whatever venue was picked would be a sell out the commets earlier are right could there ever have been any two wrestler that worked better that were so polar oposite as far as body size and makeup personality ect. yet they had two things in common they were both great athletes and understood the business that will draw some comments I am sure but they are true

dusty was never cut he was always the average man the not defined body type that was one of the reasons that it worked well with flair he had good endurace

That was a shocking heel turn if I ever saw one. Baby Doll had taken to the faces and was managing The Warlord at the time. But she pulled the ultimate swerve. I think the work was that she was disappointed that Dusty only wore the belt for 2 weeks.

This stuff is timeless. Its too bad its locked up in a vault in Stamford, CT now. But who can you blame? NWA became Dubya See Dubya and as soon as that happened it was all over!

Freakin' awesome! Shows what can happen when you make feuds people care about. No need for entrance videos and pyro to get heat like this when you have real performers allowed to do their job. God I miss wrestling like this.
