The silver car is a show car, not really a prototype. I think it pre-dates the Countach. There's a video on YouTube of the orange prototype with its big circular rear lights.

yeah I agree with both of you the stock car (if you wanna call it that) is dreadfull but the rally car was an absilute beast!
I don't know what the 2 thumbs down is for, i thought the prototype was pretty ugly too, looks too much like a Lambo. Doesn't look nearly as agile as the normal Strato`s either. It also had a 4 cylinder engine, so it wasn't as fast either, looks to be heavier too. Most of this is all speculation though, i'd much rather have the production Strato`s than the prototype.

Are you sure the Stratos was homologated to group B ? I am sure it's rally life had finished before group B, and was only homologated to Group 4.

You're riglt pal!!! The original 1970 Bertone Lancia Stratos 0 appears in the Michael Jackson's "Moonwalker" movie, exactly in the "Smooth Criminal" clip. This car is so amazing!!! even in 2007 looks so futuristic after 37 years of made!!! :D

What a greatest machine builder the Bertone! Very massively engine and footwork on most compact body. There wasn't like a style of the STRATOS anymore. This sillouette is only has STRATOS.
Guess what? The car that appears on Moonwalker is, indeed, the Lancia Stratos Prototype!! And it is on youtube! search for "the moonwalker's redemption" in YouTube and get amazed!
