" - bzekus " Just wanted to reiterate about the Slaughterhouse 5 thing. It ties in on many levels including the "unstuck in time" thing that has been mentioned. The main character, Billy Pilgrim, survives a plane crash (ties in to Lost). He is also kidnapped by aliens who see in 4 dimensions, with the 4th dimension being time. They teach him that because time is a dimension, all 3 dimensions that we know of occur simultaneously; ergo, everyone is always alive- even after death (explains the whispers?). " - newredsasha

Then he also tried to kill Charlotte the first chance he got because to him she is totally guilty of coming to the island and wanted to do stuff to it. Okay that doesn't make a lot of sense so what if he tried to kill her because she is from Big Boat. Then he killed his father because he ruined his life, made it hell! Moved him to the island. So maybe when he says innocent he means people who havnt hurt him, the others, or the island! Since everyone is guilty about something he could kill anyone

Maybe the reason that Ben said that he doesn't kill innocent people is because the people that he's killed he does not view as innocent. Even though to join The Others Ben was suppost to kill the Dharma people- But really Ben actually wanted too because of them his life to totally screwed up! So to him they were not innocent. He might also think that they weren't innocent because they were hurting the island! [more in the post above!]
