An unforgettable scene - so moving.

Nice video tribute for a great sf series but I feel that the internet is doing the opposite effect. The net is a medium that isn't controlled by any media tycoon or government. They can't control the sheer number of people contributing to it and find it hard to censor. It's democratic and information is free. Maybe one day they'll be able to take control but so far they have not. They can't control it in China (see newsnight website) and it migh bring down the regiem.

to those who have not seen this brilliant series along with Karaoke, do yourself a favour - find it, watch it, talk about it, watch it again. it is one of the best tv series i've seen.

i wish i have an adventure like this when i'm old. not cold lazarus though

Can I download Karoake/Cold Lazarus ANYWHERE? I am looking for ages ... :(

You can get both series from the channel 4 on demand service. You can get it from the website. If you download them they expire after a certain time, but it's really worth it just to see them!

I find it unusual that these series are not available to buy or rent. It was Potter's last work, a statement and a testament to what he had learned in his life. It would be interesting to see who actually controls the rights for the series and why they have chosen to let it sit on a dusty shelf rather than to exploit their rights on cable, dvd or broadcast TV. Dennis Potter's other works seem readily available, why not these series?

Dennis Potter arranged it before he died so Karaoke and Cold Lazarus would play on both BBC and Channel 4, two rival broadcasting networks in the UK. Unfortunately this kind of backfired because now it's kind of unclear who really owns the rights. A real shame, brilliant series.

Potter was amazing. He is missed.

I would immediately buy the series (Karaoke/cold lazarus) if they were released on DVD. It was great when they aired!
