Luxurious fabrics, impeccable cuts, Smalto's masculine line renews the bespoke tradition in the presentation of the collection of living statues. Eveningwear is chic with suits and jackets with braided edges. The young Youn Chong Bak has once again seduced us with his simplicity.

"This collection was more emotional than ever. It's all about a story, which Luca will recount, particularly on the subject of the design - the details, the cuts and the proportions. It wasn't a story of a style or of one sole encounter or a look, but it applied to all men. It was more like a story to introduce emotion and fantasy into the male wardrobe.

"What we wanted to do was to recreate the tradition of the house because Monsieur Smalto began with bespoke tailoring so we have a small committee and we're inviting journalists to come and see it like an exhibition. Men still like luxury items, luxury fabrics, but they don't want to feel confined in their clothes so I wanted to create a casual side.
We made short suit trousers and knitted waistcoats to show this relaxed style. There doesn't have to be a barrier between three piece suits and sportswear so I always try to mix them up.
At the top of the steps you can see outfits that are sort of evening wear, but also quite casual, not necessarily in black but in grey. Inside the room you can see more formal clothing, ready to be worn anywhere... to a party, on a beach or just to go shopping."
