Gassings, which did not happen, would have been humane compared to the deliberate roasting to death of totally innocent women and children that the US and Britain practiced, even with napalm and nuclear weapons. The defenders and apologists for American and British war crimes deserve to be burned at the stake.
I've heard the tailgunners usually downed the most enemy fighters but were also in a position where it was difficult to escape and parachute if the plane went down.The belly turret was of course the most vulnerable position I've heard.
