They kind of did. The company who produced Felix cartoons didn't have enough money to continue making them so they went out of business. But Disney had money and continued. And I think a loooong time ago Mickey and Felix were competiton for each other.

I think it's called "Face to the Wind." I loved that song the most as well and would whistle it a lot back in grade school
