Dassault Rafale

Video Title : Dassault Rafale

anyway why have such stupid arguments ? russia is by far to happy with western countries money, and western countries are also enjoying russia being their first supplier. so i really don't think there gonna be a war. unless you want to loose your main income and become a crappy country again ?

this isn't a problem at all when you operate AWACS... it gives way more capabilities than any existing radar on fighter planes, so the passive radar on the rafale isn't a problem at all since they're use for medium interception range. and it will be replaced in 2012 by the new AESA radar. plus the meteor missile..

The Novator KS-172 anti-AWACS missile has a range of 400km and is quite capable of staying locked on in even the most intense ECM environment. Flanker aircraft will take at least 2 of these missiles into any combat against any western-equipped enemy. The ram-jet powered R-77M cedes no ground to the Meteor in range and agility.

oh you mean the missile that still is on the paper and was never tested with an operational warhead ? yeah good joke

LOL, the R-33 has being in active service for years in the Russian Airforce. The KS-172 carries out much the same role. The electronics are more sophisticated but the physics behind it have already being mastered. The Chinese could easily provide the finance for the mass production of the KS-172 and the R-77M.

ram-jet powered R-77M ? yeah looks like a nice missile indeed. but i wonder how you are going to hit a plane that u cant see on the radar ? like the f22 or f35 anyway .. even if you can take down AWACS you still have to destroy ground radars.. + ground to air missiles.. both missiles would be effective in your aerial space but totally inneficient in western aerial space since your planes would be shot down very quickly.

LOL, anything from FM emitting radio stations to bi-static radars can detect "stealth" aircraft with ease. And who was talking about the mighty F-22 and the inferior JSF? This video is about the Rafale.

" LOL, anything from FM emitting radio stations to bi-static radars can detect "stealth" aircraft with ease. " i fail to understand how you can detect a stealth aircraft with an FM emmiting radio... and do you really think they would spend 62 billions dollar to develop a stealth aircraft which could be detected with a bi static radar ? sounds pretty stupid to me ..

Dear, we are technically ignorant. In 1983 the company now known as LockheedMartin mastered the tecnology of detecting stealth aircraft by linking FM radio stations to supercomputers. Any aircraft flying leaves "bumps" in the atmosphere that any receiving/transmitting radio station can pick up. Supercomputers then calibrate where those bumps are. Bi-static radars have their receivers positioned at a 90 degree angle from the transmitters so as to see radar waves bouncing sideways of an aircraft.

i still fail to see why the americans would spend 65 billions dollar to produce a stealth aircraft which, according to you, is not.
