you know what i wish, silent hunter III had the type XXVI u-boat but o well

yes they should of maybe waited and design better weapons and better trained soldiers but i think the fault was when they attacked russia

In an interview with Eric Topp, when asked if the type XXI could have won the battle of the atlantic, he said that because the XXI operated extensivley under water, it was cut off from command, making the formation of wolf packs and convoy interception impossible because these boats dived and then remained submerged as soon as they left harbour. Apart from an increase in sinkings of a negligable amount, Eric Topp speaking from experience believed the outcome would have been no different.

see what i think they should of done is that the XXI would take out escorts they a wolf pack would come in and take out the merchants that just me it would be hard but the XXI was almost stealth

Yeah... type XXI... never went into a real battle... but what would had happenend, if... it would had become the ultimate terror of the deep!

it got dam close, Adalbert Schnee the commander of U-2511 a XXI type u-boat said that on his only patrol with the boat, he got right in a perfect postion to make a fatal attack of the cruiser HMS Norfolk but turned around and went home.

Thats why there are Dual cores and quad-cores =)

hm....i have a guess, but i don't know if it works, but in the Cfg\basic\ data you can maybe ad the boat to 1939 by copying the standart uboat configs for type XXI (starts with 1943) and change it to 1939, 1940, 1941 and 1942. i don't know if that works, just try it. you can also change the reown data for every equipment and boat if you like (i also did that, works perfectly)
