Yeah, Cameron Crowe is usually into this type of music for soundtracks. Look at Cameron Crowe's movies for really good songs. Perhaps Pete already has one in them. Look at Josh Rouse's Directions from Vanilla Sky. Look at the whole Vanilla Sky soundtrack, great tunes, as well as his other movies. Cameron usually uses great music and his wife Nancy Wilson (Heart) does some of the background music, which is always good.
