Description :	A bug in the Nokia 1112 which Nokia has neglected for a long time. If a message is sent to multiple recipients VERY QUICKLY (i.e. sending another message before the "Message Sent" confirmation appears), it remains "pending" in the "Sent Items" folder even when it is in fact already sent. This bug has been present since v5.xx and is not yet fixed even in v6.xx. The older software version (e.g. v4.xx) do not have this bug so apparently, "newer" doesn't mean "better". The bug is also found in other newer Series-30 models, e.g. Nokia 1110i, 1600, and 2310. I emailed a complaint to Nokia and all they suggested was for me to try switching my SIM, reset factory settings, and all other "generic" troubleshooting procedures which I already know and have done in the first place (because I'm not stupid like those Nokia agents). I made this video for them to realize that this was their fault and not mine. Damn Nokia.

I have a Nokia 1112b (North American GSM model), software version 5.01 dated March 27th, 2006. I would recommend getting this version, as I've only come across 1 bug in it. When you are entering a 'Reminder' on any date, sometimes when you go to enter the alarm it won't let you go past 12noon on the day you've selected. Still the best and most excellent phone.

...the only problem i have is that sometimes i wouldn't know if my sms were sent or not because either way the phone will just say it is pending.

my nokia 2310 has this bug. i discovered it accidentally when one day all of a sudden i couldn't send any SMS, the phone would immediately say MESSAGE FAILED right after i press Send and when i checked the Send Items there were 25 pending sms! these sms were in fact sent and some of them have been in that folder for weeks. had to delete them one by one before i could send sms again. quite annoying but i could deal with it...

Maybe they didn't fix it because it's a tiny little bug that no one gives a shit about? Just a thought.

what really annoys me is that the older firmware versions did not have this bug (my nokia 1110 v4.xx does not have it). it was only introduced since v5.xx and was never fixed since then. u are probably right that they didn't fix it since most people wouldn't care. but in my country where people would typically send 200 SMS a day, it is a big deal.

that actually is not a problem.. pending really means that the message has been sent from the mobile to the number you provided.. But the message is not delivered properly.. which means either the person u messaged switched off his mob.. or the mob is not in reach..To test this got messages>message settings>common>>delivery reports-yes.. Try and see.. if it still happens.. u can update ur firmware..

It's definitely a bug, but are there that many people who need to select multiple recipients within half a second of each other?

although this is the best way to demonstrate this bug, it does not only happen when sending multiple messages very quickly. it can happen even when sending just a single SMS the typical way. and believe me, it happens daily. sometimes my sent items folder get filled with "pending" messages and i couldn't send anymore SMS until i delete them all manually one by one, since the Delete All function will not delete pending messages. it's really annoying.
