watch the right foot? He steped out with his left foot. lol

mannn! i love throwing shot.. =D

Throwing the shot isn't just in your arms, most of the power should come from your legs. And it isn't about size, I was the smallest chick throwing the disc and shot, and did better than most bigger people. And I hate the Olympics or any televised track and field broadcast, because they only show the results or highlights of field events.

short and stocky is wat you want for shot long ass arms are good for disk

yea the shot is 80% power 40% Technique ;) it strue though its NOT just brute force POWER only takes u so far usualy guys that just power the throws out there DONT make it father than divII college or even high school for that matter

U damn right. I think that people think that these guys just stay in the weight room all day like football players, but these guys work on technique all day. They train and beat up their bodies every day to have a chance at being the greatest.

United States Media is horrible when it comes to broadcasting throws... Dwight is known for making mistakes (ex. in this video.. he says, "look at godina right foot"). Typically American Television wont look at a throwers Footwork or only shows the release.

Very interesting, but I actually hate the beginning. It completely undermines the subtle grace and difficult technique that's necessary to become a world class shotputter. I haven't thrown in years, but it always pissed me off when people thought that shotput was simply a matter of brute force.

Interesting, i like the beginning.
