On January 3rd, 2004 Spirit became the first robot to land on Mars in 7 years. Three years later, it's still going strong and is helping us answer the question...was Mars ever alive and is it alive today? SPACE WEEK launches Sunday, May 6, with the network premiere of SPACE STATION AND BEYOND, and returns to Earth's surface on Saturday, May 12.

NASA had a very interesting idea of including the public on this Important and Historical Mission. The Promotion was called:
"SEND YOUR NAME TO MARS". So they Did.
on a disc in The Rover "Spirit". there are the names of several hundred thousands people all over the world. I am very proud to say that my name is in MARS. Thank You Very Much to NASA for this gift!
this is very amazing!! The robot created by humans is now in another planet in our solar system!! How sad coz' this poor robot cannot come back to it's mother planet..
Great to be alive to be able to see this mission to mars,by NASA. this little robot was builded by humans and now it is in another planet...Collective Inteligence of humans used in the right direccion.
