How to Care For a Ferret : Training Pet Ferrets to Use the Litter Box

i want to get a ferret but my mom dosent think i should she it is cute but i know i have great responsibility to own a ferret because i have a dog I f i have a dog, would a ferret be comfortable with that dog?

You could but it's not recommended. Owning a ferret is like having a three year old that never grows up. The can and WILL get into everything and when they are out they will need constant attention.

EXACTLY! Omg.. My baby ferret is the worst. XD If there's ANYTHING she can get into, she will try her damndest. Hehe. It would be wise to read up on ferrets before getting one. You can't just stick them in a cage all the time. Nor can you leave them out constantly. Like Wombat said, they'll get into everything. It is very much like having a kid. Don't leave anything out you don't want broken. Hehe.

They are great pets. The only one I ever had get sick, was sick before I got her. She ended up having bone marrow cancer. With ferrets and small animals, they have a higher chance of getting cancers and stuff, but like I said, I have only had one have it. They dont really get sick all the time. Ferrets are actually very hardy animals and dont get sick very much

ive had mines for almost two years and he's only been sick once. they are great pets but required alot of attention the first year. mines just lets my younger cousins toss it around[not literally] but he's pretty calm

and what ferret ACTUALLY does this??? i have three retards that know i want them to go in their shit box and they refuse blatantly by flickin me off and crappin by the bedroom door so i step in it before i go get them water cause they drink it all and piss on their sheets in the top part of their cage. seriously shitbox training a ferret is like letting an infant crawl around without a diaper on.

I didn't train mine. I found she went to the same spot all the time anyway. Mabye 2 or 3 diff spots in a big room. I just put a box there, but she didn't like climbing into it and would do her business right next to it. I started putting paper down and she would go on that.
