The Karate is old martial arts that are peculiar to a Ryukyu area, a part of Japan. it was called "Te" from old.
Then some influence of martial arts in China is received and it has developed.

Taekwondo started 600 B.C. and even before the Three kingdom era with the name of Taekkyeon and Taegoni, and if you look back more, it had SeonBae, and Muyeong. it's all about the military art. Rather, Karate has weak history compare to KungPu or TKD
