This is an excellent band with great songs.But I am still waiting for a record without that Rickenbacker guitar. After more than 20 years it is time for a change.

...listening carefully all the new r'n'r bands from the last decade,you can everywhere hear R.E.M. ...probably in top 5 bands ever,but for sure greatest living band.can't forgive myself that i missed them in Belgrade two years ago..

My mate and I are off to see them in Manchester at the LCCC in August, I cant wait!!!!!!

I agree, being a fan since "Murmur", I don't ever miss a concert (except good seats are getting harder to buy and those kids sitting there don't know what they are experiencing). REM will go down in history as one of the most innovative bands ever! Rolling Stone remarked about ten years ago that Michael Stipes had the most beautiful voice in Rock 'n Roll, we'll I like him a lot, but I tie him with Jon Anderson. Anyway.......Rock on!
