Boy, does Mr. Ellison look old.

I'm ... I'm sorry. Harlan would never have wanted one of his fans to behave so belligerently towards others.

TV crap will come and go, humanoids, but the marvel that is Harlan Ellison will be with the human species till its extinction. So he likes TV pabulum. So what. Get lives, toads.

Apparently the literary legend thinks that BSG is one of the best television series ever made. Said so him self. So what world are you living in?

if u could invest in a writer i think many deep space nine fans would have got rich off the ronald

Battlestar Galactica is not "a revamped TV show". It is, just as Harlan said, one of the best TV shows ever, unlike the old BSG. It took the name, some basic plot premises and character names from the old show, but the 2 shoes are very, very different.

I'm not good with interpreting acronyms but what do you mean when you said, "the new BSG isn't OS"?

Rodimus78: OS or TOS = the old series. Ellison stresses how different - and how much better - the new BSG is than the 70s series with the name name.

thanks for clearing that up for me. look I respect Ellison's biased feelings like the old BSG, but I disagree with him saying the New One is perfect. Nothing is perfect. Another thing, BSG is a revamp, no matter how you look at it. The irony is that retooling this show is no diffrent from Alan Moore retooling comics such as Swamp Thing, Supreme, etc and they were better.

I was there. Even though Ellison said Anthony Lawrence's story "The Man Who Was Never Born" wasn't the basis for the Terminator's plot, I think that story deserves some credit. Anyway, this bit of Harlan's stand up was the most engaging, entertaining thing for the whole convention. I saw the William Goldman talk and the Oliver Stone talk--this segment was the best.
