ya know a lot less poles would break if people used poles that were above their body weight to all pole vaulters who use poles under their weight you are cheating and should quit the sport.
are you stupid? everyone that broke a pole in this video is an elite jumper. on poles way bigger than they need. dont sound so arrogant.
look i just graduated from high school and i go train in ohio all the time and all the vaulters over there say they use poles under their weight and my school only had 2 poles i weigh 153 one of the poles is 14, 140 and the other is a 13 6 , 170 i was only able to clear 12 9 during the season i was just furshtrated because after the season i got on a 15, 155 and cleared 14 3 not that that is very good but back to the point i wasn't trying to make any one who watched this video seem any less
what yuo said there did not justify what you said above in the least... shut up...
still, wahat you sed before was fucking stupid
Ok, I haven't seen much of this, but I want to know. Is there a way to prevent the pole from breaking, and if not do you still get a penalty for it?
well yeah if u break the pole during a vault it still counts as a scratch. and chances are if its ur first time breaking a pole u wont be vaulting again that day. just make sure that the pole is rated above ur weight. even if its already above ur weight if u can bend it a lot u should move up. thats the whole point of pole vault. (get on the biggest pole u can vault on) moving up poles=higher heights.
if you break a pole it's not a scratch, you get another shot.
i cant think of any vaulter thats gonna go right back into vaulting after they break their first pole. i kno in virginia high school rules if u dont break the plane u can still go but even if the pole breaks its a scratch.
