Yes it is. |
That's the guy from Empty Nest isn't it? |
i had 1997 trooper 85k mile on it, the only problem i had is eat up gas too much, also is not that much power |
And how do you feel about Walmart where half of every dollar spent on non food items is for good manufactured in China? |
Well, Joe Isuzu is a white American who shills Japanese junk. The Benedict Arnold of the automotive world. |
Isuzu wanted to bypass a tariff on SUVs by having dealers install the rear seats at the dealership, so they had to create a new model called "Trooper II" |
the earlier troopers that were made were called TroopeII's.
after 1990 and up it was just called trooper
i dont know why they did this |
ive got a 90 trooper but every time i see another one like mine it says trooper 2 is mine missing the 2 or did they make some that just said trooper |
I remember this commercial! Great stuff. |
I have a 95 Trooper S, I wouldnt trade it for anything. Nothing super special about it but it has almost 150K on it and it still will plow right through 2 feet of snow or pull someone out of a ditch without breaking a sweat. =) |
they did not advertise as much as they needed to and its not isuzus fault that gm killed all of the cars that izusu had |
Well I guess there wasn't enough of those people I guess huh??? Other wise the sales of Axioms wouldnt have been a Big Dissapointment for Isuzu, and Isuzu would still have a Presence in this country |
well in your other comment you said that isuzu sold cars that no one wanted yet people have asked my mother a bunch of times what her axiom is and said that they wanted to buy one |
Right back at ya Buddy |
fuck u |
The Axiom didn't sell because it was a car-like truck where the public overall wanted a truck-like car. However, that's not what past Isuzu owners wanted. They had a niche. They filled it. The Axiom and the Grand Cherokee aren't the same demographic. What killed the company was when the Trooper broke $30k MSRP. (BTW, I came back and bought an Ascender. God, I wanted an '07 Trooper, though...) |
did David Leisure come up with the idea as well ????? |
Axiom was the ugliest Vehicle that year in 2001 next to the Pontiac Aztec..Both cars were the begining of the end for those Companies |
Test drove but did you buy it?? The Axiom was the Begining of the End for the Company they were losing money then they stopped Advertising and were Banking in on just Internet Advertising..I sold these cars and couldnt stand the company b/c they werent building vehicles that people wanted...The Grand cherokee is 100x nicer Vehicle than the Isuzu's were and Drove better and Handled...isuzu back in the Early 90's banked on the 4x4's and as time went on they couldnt keep up w/the Competition |
The last comment is targeted to the GM of the nineties and early 2000s. I feel they are doing much better now. (It was still stupid to kill off the GMT-360 line. That's like Porsche abandoning sports cars.) |
That's because they only sold trucks (recently). Body-on-frame vehicles will never handle like cars. The Axiom was close. (Damn close... I test-drove one...) I personally prefer plastic when done properly. Lowers price AND "fails gracefully". No rust. No dents. Waterproof. What's not to love? I think the sales issue began as the fact that their target market was shrinking. When large crossovers became available, it was the end. They clung on with GM, but GM is an immoral and stupid company. |
I sold Isuzu Nice Vehicles in terms of reliability but lacks in driving and tons of plastic, but Crappy Sales..isuzu the Past 10 YRS was Crap as a Company |
Make sure that your Isuzu is Isuzu powered.
Case in point: 3.1L V-6 used in late-90s Rodeos and Troopers. |
The US is one of the most useless markets in the world for automakers.
#1. Bad economy = Low sales overall
#2. Americans (tend to) buy junky cars
Isuzu has owned the medium duty segment for years and continues to do so, even in the US. They just stopped selling light-duty stuff. The Isuzus sold in Asia were always better, anyway. Americans and their gasoline... |
Umm Isuzu is no longer in the U.S.A |
