You want to take some ones freedom away to drive a Hummer? Why? 1. It uses diesel (and they didn't make that much of them), so it isn't driving up the cost of gasoline. Blame China and India for driving up the cost, or better yourself for buying cheap shit from them. 2. What proof do you have that a Hummer is more unsafe than a Bus, Semi, RV, Large pick-up. I see all of them everyday, but I don't see H1s on the road everyday (much less hurting people). 3. If you are cheap + afraid use a Bus

1. The H1 uses diesel, I'm talking about the so called "Civilian Hummers" that use gasoline. 2.A Bus, Semi, etc, have to be that size in order to do its job. A "civilain hummer" doesn't, so its both wasteful and unnessasaraly dangerous. 3.What if I wanted to buy my own bus and drive it around privately. should I be able to do that or is it just idiodic like driving a hummer?

You have to understand that the 'civilian hummers' H2/H3 are NOT made by the same people. AMC makes/made the H1. The H2/H3 are made by GM and use the Hummer name plate. Both the H2/H3 use non-exclusive frames/engines. I think the H2 uses the same frame as the Chevy Tahoe (smaller than a Suburban). Not nearly as many people HATE the Chevy Tahoe or Suburban. I think so many people hate the Hummer because it just looks so much more cool.2. Don't you think people should have an option to buy safety

Thats right, the H2 is literally the ultimate poser vehicle. Its basically just a Chevy Tahoe disguised as a hummer, which is not only lame, but it also weighs an extra 2000 pounds, making it the most idiotic vehicle on the road. Also, what does having "an option to buy safety" have to do with the "civilian hummer"? its one of the most dangerous vehicles on the road.
