Great post. You were the person who first told me about Rory after seeing one of my Roy Buchanan post's.
Do you know who was the composer of this song...I always thought it were the yardbirds, but somehow it could be an old blues musician.
I am not sure, but it sounds like Sonny Boy Williamson. Again, I am not positive, just a guess.
I saw him in the late seventies at Birmingham (England) Bingley Hall. There was rain dripping through the roof on to the stage but it didn't bother him. RIP Rory.
I clearly remember seeing him with his band Taste at the Marquee. The atmosphere was hot & literally electric. We were right up front practically nose to nose with this guy.
He exuded a great feeling of fun & enthusiasm for his music. The energy of the set washed over us all - I was exhausted by the end - So was he by what I remember. Went on to see him at the 70' Isle of Wight concert - Preferred the more intimate setting of the Marquee.
Great man - Miss him.

Thanks for your Comment. We all miss Rory!
It is always good to hear some stories from fans telling about Rory. I never had the chance to see him due to my age.
I think Rory would be really happy to know he was still inspiring new young guitarists like you. Just like he was inspired by his heroes when he was your age.
He'd be the first to tell you though, to listen to as many different guitarists and forms of music as possible, absorb it all and find your own style. Like he did.
