Can't comment on Echo and the Bunnymen but would most certainly put "Brilliance" and "The Waterboys" in the same sentence. This is the Sea is an amazing song, but one of my favourites is "Love Anyway" very moving lyrics written by "God" of course!(sorry if this is posted twice having problems!)

Majorsnag - as the man himself says, "It's just a simple metaphor / For a burning love..." - love, sex, take it how you want. Incidentally, massive kudos to producer Paul Hardiman, who probably took what was originally just an acoustic guitar / singer number, and made it into the fantastic slow crescendo that you hear on the album. The guitar solo at the end is pure rock.
