Banned Cartoon - Commando Duck

Hmm, I've seen the censored version of this cartoon - without the caricatured Japanese characters and too many explicit references to Japan - I think the voices were changed too (apart of the part where the snipers cock the weapons). Still one of the most hilarious Donald cartoons I've seen, and I don't think the censors ruined it either in that particular case.

Anything that the FCC construed as possibly lawsuit worthy they banned. But when you take out everything that pisses people off you are left with a humorless mediocre waste of ink. Its art. Its SUPPOSED to piss people off. Otherwise its not doing its job. Like today's cartoons. Petooy! All rubbish. Weak i say!

What's wrong with the fucking cartoon? It was more of a way too lighten the mood back then than anything. Propaganda? Ok, it would be pretty weak at that. If you waste time deriding this, you're just a pseudo-intellectual moron. You weakling idlers could have never won a war like WWII or any other.

They didn't care. We were at war with them, and the government tried everything in their power to show that fighting Japan was not a waste of time and money
