Great Vid. I was fortunate enough to get a ride in an eagle 20 years ago at Holloman AFB. I went up on an ACBT mission and went through the wringer. It is amazing how much the plane shakes when under high G loading

Requirements are EXTREMELY high. To become a fighter pilot, you need to be better than at least 100,000 other applicants vying for the same cockpit seat. To be a pilot, you need to be an officer, which means you need a 4-year degree from a college or university. Then, graduate civilian flight school and then pass the Air Force's flight school. All while trying not to get washed out because of the extremely tough course.

Unless you've already started to train for that direction in life it's probably too late. You have to be physically, mentally, and psycologically better than 99% of all other commissioned officers. Your life as you know it will be over; you will have to dedicate everything. That's why USAF divorce rates are huge. To put it simply...if it hasn't been your dream since you were a child then you probably don't have it.

The US Army has amazing flight opportunities right now as well, as do the Navy and USMC. Look at all your options before deciding.
