After only 2 years this is what my plasma does. What you see moving is the "no signal" text that is scrolling around, oviously because I have nothing hooked up to it. When a picture is actually shown on it, you can barely see it behind all the pixels. The tv you hear in the background is a different one, but the audio does work fine on this one. It just shows crazy pixels like this over whatever you watch, fullscreen. The warranty is up, does anyone know any kind of remedy or at least a diagnosis?
the model is a Daewoo DP-42sm (42 inch)

sell it and get an lcd, i've had a samsung plasma for about 3 years now and its already gettin burn in problems. if i display an still image on the screen for more than 10 minutes, these the pixels turn blue and a surface retention occurs :S...now im saving up for an lcd
My tv was doing the same thing yesterday.
I just switched it off for 10 seconds and back on again and it was fine
one it is a daewoo, two it is plasma. the blasma gas lamp is still fine as it is still charging and displaying on the screen. my diagnosis is it got to hot and the circuit board fried, or it got serged from electricity and fried the circuit board. always connect expensive electronics into a surge protector. in any event plasma and lcd tvs are like HD dvd and blue ray dvd. lcd is the blueray of tv's they won the battle. plasmas lost. lcds also last longer like a conventional tv. plasma dont

Let me tell you why. Plasma TV's are new on the market and need to be servcied from time to time. They work on gas and when there is a problem thay can cost a lot of money to fix. LCD TV's are better last longer and and don't require to be servied as much
BUT, they dont give as gooder picture as a plasma, plasma TV are better
plasmas suck, get lcd or dlp, dlp would be better,plasmas are no longer being made,they burn out, and images can burn into the tvs screen.

i have a plasma LCD and a DLP screen. the dlp is a terrible picture even connected to SkyHD. plasma is a better choice for movies and sports, more realistic. lcd isnt bad but is good for games.
