haha it's very real yes .. once you've gotten the 3 "main" story endings (Leave, In Water, Maria), your next playthrough a doghouse will be just off the road between Jack's Inn Texxon Gas. In the doghouse is the DOG key, and at the end after you watch the videotape in the hotel room, use the key to open the Observation room (in "Nightmare" hotel). It's right next door to room 312.
