i guess that makes sense.i always loved the full sound you got out of that fender bass.did you use two tens and an eighteen? also i love roy nichols god rest his soul.i play old fenders and can play bout any lick roy ever played.not bragging just loved the man roy

Merle is a very good guitar player. His lead work doesn't compair with Roy, Redd, Joe or Clint but he doesn't have to play their parts he plays from his soul. BTW I love the way plays rhythm. Merle plays fiddle too, but he'll be the first to tell you he's no Johnny Gimble. He's an entertainer and his fans love to see him take a solo every now and then.
