If they helped a meerkat and lemurs are endangered, I agree it seems rather callous to ignore the plight of the little guy and let him die. It smacks of sensationalism for sensationalism sake, you know? :(

Bone to pick: "Bone to pick," dates back to the 16th century, simply refers to a dog chewing endlessly on, and "picking clean," a large bone. Re the show: Sorry your Gizmo died :'( They normally do these shows without any human involvement/contact, as you said, this sort of thing would have happened out in the wild anyway. However, if they are endangered, you'd think that they would want to help the poor little guy out
