no what it was with dancing with the stars was the fact that the dancers had to learn the dances to the songs.. if they played it live, the timing would be different. tempo. everything. they had to do it that way so the dancers would be on time with every move. its not about them being the show, it was for the dancers. thast why they did that. but def lep is far from fake. far!

It's the truth. If you go back and watch it again both performances on DWTS were lip synched. I'm not sure whether or not it was because of Joe's illness or whether that is something they had to do to satisfy the people at DWTS. But you are right. DL is not a band that is known for lip synching. They are absolutely brilliant live.

Well it's pretty much the performance as a whole that is synced. Music too. Just listen to the Pour Some sugar On Me clip. Anyway, it's the shows producers' choice. The whole glam thing on that show has to do with it.

Damn right! I saw them live in Marysville along with Styx and Foreigner. They were awesome and you could tell that it was live. I think when they make a TV appearance they want it to sound like they are still at the top of their game. So it's better for them to play a studio recorded song rather than pull a David Lee Roth. Now that guy has lost his touch
