If you look closely, Cantwell does use his legs. He Starts with a straight leg turn and then bends his right leg as he drives towards the middle. Alekna does the same thing in the discus.

so if tech. is based on body type, what would u say works best for shorter throwers-glide or spin?

it's generalized that short=spin and tall=glide but there have tall spinners. brian oldfield was pretty tall i believe and it's also generalized that the spin is simply better.
