wow what a nice control from both of the team they really know how to put the shuttlecok on their opponent zone.. two thumbs up

Are you talking to me of DongFangShuo? Also DongFangShuo what does underhand shot mean? As far as I can tell and just to check I just researched this underhand isn't a word used in Badminton accept in the context of when somebody lies or cheats.

lol, hololotus, yes i was talking to u. mainly because if u played then u would understand why they would do an 'underarm' shot close to the net. not all shots are high enough to be killed, especially in professional badminton, and those shots that can be killed are 99% of the time set up by one of the players.

I do play Badminton actually and while not up to the standard here, I think I'm pretty good. (I know that sounds cocky but there's no easy way to say that). All I was trying to say was that while yes some shots do have to be underarm at the net, if they are being hit repeatedly in the same spot after a while the reciever can get a smash in. Sending it high again just gives them another chance.

true, but i guess if they are going to defend they would have to send it high, or else anything lower than what they are doing will be smashed with ease and thatll just put more pressure on themselves as defenders. the higher it is the more time they have to recover and get ready to return the next smash. but like they did, instead of lifting it they put in a flat defend which forced the opponent to either hit it straight to them at the front or lift it to the back where they hav a better chance

Earlier comments made by you had a confincing logical argument Now ur just talking rubbish. The LOWER the shuttle on the return the harder it is 2 smash. Yes when u lift u get more time to prepare for the next shot but you give them more time to get into posistion and so be able to smash it harder than before. If the shuttle was low when returned from the smash then all they can do is lift reversing the situation or hit it straight back which is an easy shot to counter as it will be quite weak.

when i said 'anything lower than wat they are doing will be smashed with ease', i meant if they are going to lift it they will have to lift it high, no lower than wat they are doing. its either a high, right-to-the-back lift or a flat drive, no in between.

So? I could lift it high from the back of my side of the court to the back of the other side aged 11. (I started playing aged 10) It wouldn't be a hard thing to do would it?

wat does whether u can clear the shuttle from ur back end of the court to the other have anything to do with wat kind of shot to play after your opponent drops it to u? meh anyways im not trying to argue so yea congratulations for achieving a simple clear at 11 years old, really, no sarcasm.

My point is that lifting a shuttle isn't hard and if a 11 years old can do it world a wolrd class proffessional can do it.
