The goal is to improve the ability to generate lines and variations mentally during a game, and to try to come up with a move that either maintains equality on the board, or paves the way for a slight positional edge. I recommend pausing the video at the appropriate time and generating your own candidate moves. Good work. Castle or exd5 are 50/50 but either way I think white has such strong centre control it is hard for black to recover, even from this early position.

I like defenses like Stonewall and the Bird System for White, or the Sicilian Defense accelerated dragon for Black. Closed positions are my favorite and I win a lot of games with ease. Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition couldn't even touch me with an attack to my pieces, and ran out of TIME!

Good videos,and I request more!. I'd like to see at least one video that shows how checkmate was made. I am learning the openings but get into trouble once the match progresses, will you adress the middlegame later on? what would also be good to see is a couple more of blacks moves to counter white and maybe for those outhere that are starting out just one great video of the strategies, and normal rules for chess,you know pawn formation,controlling the middle... it would get many views. ty bye
