is that south bend police cars back then???

Watch some of the period commercials posted on this site. While the name "Lark" does not appear on the cars, Studebaker continued to use it in ads.

i havent seen 1 of those in a LONG time...and no they werent bad cars in any way shape or form

studebaker is back you have to google'PLUNDERHERE" ENTER'SUPERCAR"

Not a bad car, really it isn't.

Studebaker made a good automobile. First to have disk brakes I believe...

Chrysler 1949 maybe. First and only year till much latter.

Actually, the Crosley HotShot sports car ca. 1949-50 also had disc brakes. Corrosion problems caused Crosley to revert to drum brakes for the remainder of the HotShot's production run, and Chrysler's disc brakes were found only on the 1950 Town and Country hardtop...While disc brakes were seen on Jaguars in England before Studebaker, this is one area where "Studebaker's advanced thinking" really was advanced!

The Lark name was also used in 1964 on all high performance Avanti (R1 or R2)equiped Studebaker Lark type cars. The Super Larks is what all written and filmed promotional material refered to them as. It was a package of Equipment.

The Lark name was still used on the police taxi package vehicles for 1964. These vehicles also sported the lark logo on the rear sail panel unlike the Challenger. Three models were offered. Lark Marshal City, Lark Marshal Patrol and Lark Marshal Pursuit. .
