porsche and VW are like sister companies. alot of enigine swaps where porsche engines are put into VW's do require modification but for the most part they pop right in. back in the day you could get a porsche with a VW engine or a VW with a porsche engine directly from the factory. the porsche 911 could be purchased with a VW engine so it was cheaper. or a porsche powered bug strait from the dealership.
