That key change at 4:41 always brings me up short. It sounds like someone's life has just passed the point of no return, then the violence of dying, followed by the peace of death. Morbid, I suppose, but so very human.

according to some sources, this was Holst's favorite piece out of all of his Planet works. it doesnt surprise me. its SO good.
