se puede entender que la caza de ballenas sea parte de la cultura japonesa. Pero la cantidad de ballenas que se pretende cazar es monstruosa, y fuera de la concideraciones ecologistas, la vision que tiene el mundo de japon sera muy perjudicada.

Japanese whaling would've never developed if the Americans gave war devastated Japan SPAM meat like they did for other Asian countries facing starvation. However the former enemy were not given this 'privilege' and were forced to turn against these peaceful creatures of the sea.

You shouldn't believe what the Japanese gouvernment says. They're basically a bunch of nationalist old men who declare things like "women are just babies-making machines". Most Japanese people just don't pay attention to the politics. Hence their politicians suck. But I still love Japan.
