mandelas last 12 years in prison was in a house negotiating his release and the terms. He had a chef and a body guard. and it was not on robben island it was in cape town. well it was true that mandela did receive special treatment in prison because he was a lawyer. and that his last years were spent in a house with a pool and winnie was allowed to spend the the night with him. but he still sacrificed 27yrs of his life. he is not a coward. he is a fighter.

No one had seen him for over 20 years he was older basically.

but he was in jail. my question is.. HOW DID HE GET OUT??? was he like temporarily released for the beach or something please explain it to me.
