Seal populations are declining rapidly because of the most massive and cruel wildlife massacre in history conducted yearly by Canada and from arctic ice loss due to global warming. Canada's East Coast economy is NOT dependent on seals. The brutal slaughter of seals is an off-season activity conducted by a handful of thugs. Their income is mainly from commercial fisheries such as crab, shrimp and lobster throughout the year. Only a tiny fraction comes from massacring the seals.

Think before you type idiotic remarks. Artic seals are wildlife and they have nothing to do with livestock. They don't even belong to Canada, they are a world heritage and part of the ecology. I don't agree with abuse to livestock, but that's a different subject isn't it? Livestock are raised by humans, get it?
