While in jail, the wounded commandant tell the prisoners that Salomon found the stone, and the mercenary smuggler Danny Archer from Zimbabwe releases Salomon and proposes to exchange the diamond by his missing family. Using the idealistic American journalist Maddy Bowen, Danny locates the wife and daughters of Salomon in a refugee camp, but is informed that his son has been recruited by the rebels. Salomon and Danny consolidate a partnership, with Salomon looking for and finding his son, and Danny looking for the diamond and finding redemption. About this scene: This is the best scene of the movie taken from the ending part. A combination of wonderful expressions by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou. I just simply love this scene, it made a few tears in my eyes LOL. Thanks

I'm not prone to crying during a film and only one film made me shed a tear and that was Green Mile. But this movie was so deep, the relationship between Leo and Djimon is amazing, it felt so real, so alive and so heartfelt that when the two begin to laugh i just cried, to see freinds laughing at a situation were both know only one will live is just amazing acting. This movie made me think so much about freindship, and how in these times its hard to find someone you would honestly die for

Leo does such a great job with Danny Archer, he brings a human side to a tortured character who can never escape the world in which he lives

when he said the dark skinned guy " But i can carry you " ( meaning up the hill and even after he might of thought he steal the diamond ) .....my heart just stopped... him saying that was just ....just no words...greatest movie...ever...those 2 actors... were perfect pick..well done
