deerhoof - panda panda panda

PANDA! Saw Deerhoof live in Toronto recently... it was an amazing show.

God i dont know why... but i like this song a whole lot.... O_o

Goddamn, that drummer is amazing.

I actually hear this kind of band in my neighborhood, and it just sounds like noise with melody. It's too much noise for people who just like regular POP music with lyrics.

Yeah. There's way too many gimmick bands with Asian singers atm. :/

I love them, but as I stated, there's far too many bands right now with Asian singers that sing in a form of Engrish. While Deerhoof is good (and around before it happened) that doesn't mean they won't get lumped together with the crappy gimmick bands. Lol @ you thinking you know my full opinion. :/

i don't think any of those bands are a gimmick because that's how the singers really speak. if you look at asobi seksu, she's actually good at speaking english so she can sing in clear english.. however if you look at satomi, singer of enon, singer of melt banana they don't speak perfect english.

In fact, I love both Asobi Seksu and Enon. However, it's still going to be perceived by most people as a "gimmick," no matter how much talent they have.
